Noboru Murakami Papers, 1929-1941

Noboru Murakami was born ca. 1889 in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. He arrived in the United States in 1907. Subsequently, he served as Secretary of the Japan Hotel and Apartment Association of Southern California prior to World War II. Mr. Murakami died ca. 1959. The collection consists primarily of diaries (1929, 1933-38 and 1940-41) related to the life of Noboru Murakami. It also includes letters from relatives in Japan (ca. 1936-41) and other miscellaneous papers (13 items). The entire collection is in Japanese.
